Realone, together with Colliers International, Corporate Capital Solutions London, has negotiated on behalf of Nokia to secure the financing partner of the technology specialist’s new research and development facility in Oulu, Finland. The deal has been set-up as a forward funding and build-to-suit transaction and the designing process is proceeding at speed.
Negotiations are continuing with the developer candidates who will be responsible for the turnkey delivery of the construction project. Nokia is developing the new campus with various experts of the related fields like design specialist, user experience (UX) specialists and other campus team members.
The city of Oulu is preparing road relocation in the Linnanmaa-Ritaharju area enabling suitable construction for Nokia’s new campus. The new campus on the Linnanmaa-Ritaharju plot is expected to be completed during 2025 and it will enable Nokia’s continuous innovation and development at the forefront of 5G technologies. The campus construction will begin after the mutually agreed road construction work is completed during the summer of 2022.
